Digital Forensic Research Center (DFRC) is a university research center, established within the School of Cybersecurity in Korea University, with a mission to research techniques and procedures for the identification, collection, process, analysis, and presentation of digital evidence in response to cybercrimes and cybersecurity incidents. We are always looking for researchers who are passionate on digital forensics.

RESEARCH AREAS
DFRC is conducting research in various fields of digital forensics. We are not limited to digital forensics but are constantly exploring areas we can study, such as AI, vulnerabilities, and system security diagnosis in cybersecurity.
Conduct research on overall technologies and procedures used in the field of digital forensics.
Research the laws and policies needed in the field of digital forensics, and establish relevant standards.
Conducts research that can be fused with digital forensics such as cybersecurity, reverse engineering, firmware analysis, and vulnerabilities.
Build a digital forensic infrastructure through various activities such as RDS(Reference Datasets) and online training course.

디지털포렌식연구센터 연구원 강승아, 강정윤, 김민수, 정영기 (지도교수 이상진, 박정흠)이 ‘2022 KDFS 디지털 포렌식 챌린지’에서 대상을 수상하였다.
한국디지털포렌식학회(KDFS)는 디지털 포렌식에 대한 관심을 높이고 관련 분야의 전문 인력 양성 및 기술 개발을 목적으로 디지털 포렌식 챌린지를 진행하였다. 매년 개최되는 챌린지는 포렌식 기업 종사자를 제외한 학생과 일반인이 모두 참여 가능하다.
