⚠ Rush Hour Warning

Seoul subways can reach 200% capacity during peak hours (7–9 AM, 6–8 PM on weekdays). This is called “지옥철 (hell train)” by locals.

Survival Tips:
  • Wait for next train if too crowded
  • Use last or first car (less crowded)
  • Check app for recommended cars
  • Consider bus/taxi if carrying luggage
Peak Times to Avoid:
  • Weekday mornings: 7:30–9:30 AM
  • Weekday evenings: 6:00–8:00 PM
  • Friday nights: especially crowded
